VEP installation at the Woodlands VEP collection point

The Vehicle Entry Permit application and installation used to be a rather arduous process and you needed to visit JB and wait for hours to get it done.
In addition the website itself was rather cranky.

These days, the process is much faster and whilst the website can be a bit slow, it will come round. But the key is to get the right paperwork sorted first.

So first you should cancel the old VEP if any on an older car you may have owned.
Second need the log card plus insurance for your new car.
Then you need to install the TnG app and add your application for VEP.

Do save them and your ID in a pdf form
Then simply follow the instructions on the website

There is a site for application, then it will also show the link for collection, and this site is also a bit slow and needs you to refresh the screen sometimes. But eventually you’ll get there.

The installation site is in 186 Woodlands Industrial Park E5, #03-01R. You park at the ground floor, and proceed to the registration at level three. Then they will take you down in batches to get the VEP stuck on.

You proceed to level three to register and pay and wait for the short briefing then they will install it on the inside of your windscreen. There’s only one choice if you get it done here, no headlights option. You can also get the tag and DIY, but the main reason people come round to Woodlands is to get it done officially by the staff so it's legit and effective immediately.

The process is pretty seamless and quick as the large crowds and queues have largely dissipated. Now you’ll just get a steady stream.

From registration to application, it took less than 30 minutes.

After registration on level three, they go down in batches

if there’s a specific spot where you want them to stick tell them because it was so fast I didn’t react

then a lady with a scanner tests it and it’s live !

And it’s pretty instant, you get an email and notification on the app then you’re good to go 👍

Clean your windscreen (inside) otherwise dirt is trapped there forever..
